I started playing Minesweeper on Win 3.1 a long time ago. I don't remember my first times on each level, but they were really slow (in an ini-file of 1993, I found 10-85-326). For several years, my records were 3-25-96, and I thought, these times were qui te satisfying. I never imagined that one could finish an intermediate game within less than 20 seconds. In September 2001, I found Damien's website and I redeveloped the ambition to speed up my performance. Within six weeks, I could tie my 25 on intermediate and even improve down to 20 seconds. In November 2001, I got the "Dreamboard" for the very first tim e, but because of my new mouse I was unaccoustomed to, I finished "only" in 17 seconds. It was my first sub-20 as well. I couldn't better this time until April 2002, although I tied my 17 twice. One day, I finished a game on a fast board in unbelievable 16 seconds. There is still room for further improvement, especially if I get the dreamboard or a shift of it one more tim e. My current records are sufficient to get a Top50 rank in each record category. And as I'm a member of the rare non-flagging species, I'm quite proud of it ;-) Unfortunately, studying economics doesn't give me time enough to play much. But I won't give up to believe in getting at least Germany's best (active) player. Watch my homepage to learn more about me and my hobbies besides Minesweeper.
