I've known Minesweeper for probably 10 years, but I once settled down with formerly good scores of 13-72-250. I started “playing” in April 2002 again out of boredom. As one of the only people not thinking, I was the best in the world, I´ve been searching the Internet collecting every tip that seemed useful to me. That was also the time when I found out about double-clicking. I was wondering why nobody in the whole damn world seemed to have read this ominous help-file?! From there on I was trying to go through the steps on Damien´s page (hand-eye-coordination, pattern-recognition and click-minimizing) and clicked myself down to 6-39-120 and 2 weeks later to 4-29-99. It was a whole lot of work to a total sub-100, but then I finally showed up on the Active Ranking and got to know Stephan Bechtel who, as best german player, motivated me to further improvement and gave me the longtime goal to become his competition! ;-) 1 month later I got a board with a 3BV of 29 which I finished in 21 sec., then got the same board again this week and finished in 17 sec.! Too proud to show up here with just one lucky game I played Intermediate until I recognized every 20th game as already played and in the end I got the dreamboard and finished in 16 sec.! By strange coincidence I got another one the same week, screwed up on 17, and in the evening one more, which I managed in 15 sec.! I was born as a lucky guy. I plan to get my fourth dreamboard soon to finish in 9-12 secs! :) Besides sweeping I study biochemistry, do sports wherever I can, play guitar, chess and nearly every other game and love listening to good music. Good??: Tastes are different, the good ones ain´t! ;-) I hope to be seen on this list in distant future with 1-12-59! Good luck to all sweepers, please visit my homepage for more! Roli!
