Can't believe I have finally made it to this hall of fame when it seemed hopeless at one point! I remember starting out on the long (ok short) road to minesweeper addiction. It all started in a physics lesson where we were doing some data logging and my friend and I had finished, so stuck for something to do he started playing minesweeper. I asked him 'what the hell is that?' and he's like 'minesweeper of course!' Of course I didn't have a clue what was going on at first so he carefully explained what the numbers represented and slowly the old cogs in my head started turning. That got me thinking 'I will get good at that game!' and so I went home and that christmas holidays was spent almost exclusively trying to finish a game of beginner! I don't know when exactly but something snapped in my brain and I suddenly started smashing my records in every discipline and four months later I had a sub-100 in expert!

This prompted me to delve into the internet to search for the records, as I was so sure I had to be among the top 10. Much to my disbelief my records were mediocre to say the least , so I was spurred on to go on further - mainly just to see if those sorts of times were REALLY possible. Intermediate wise I slowly wittled my score down to 20 - which proved to be the biggest obstacle I have ever faced ! I couldn't buy a sub-20 for what seemed an eternity until one fateful day, I finally saw the little box pop up due to a time of 18!! I was so happy because I had achieved the sub-20, something that could never be taken away from me - I was in the minesweeper elite!

My scores currently stand at 2-14-62 and that 62 is the score that is letting me down! However I can't see that changing in the near future because I will be at University from the 29th September to do civil engineering. So maybe my priorities are changing and this game was just a childish phase I am through with? I somehow doubt it!!!
